And now, a few words from Blake…

We finally got the Working Class Films page up and running and I’d like to apologize for the wait.  But I think you’ll agree it was well worth it and if you don’t we will find you and make you agree.

Initially, when we first conceived the notion of the idea of maybe doing something, we were going to build a time machine to take us back in time to the exact moments when great art was born – “Layla” by Derick & the Dominos. Romeo & Juliet.  CITIZEN KANE.

The plan was to steal that material and cash the checks.  Needless to say we had some trouble actually building the time machine.  So we started Working Class Films instead to create music videos, cartoons, documentaries, sketch comedy, and short films.  Of course, the great irony would now be if people from the future came here and stole our ideas.

In addition to bringing you material created by ourselves, we’re also going to be bringing you stuff from friends and colleagues who respond very well to threats and intimidation exacted as a means of obtaining content for a website.  As long as these fine musicians, filmmakers, and artists keep creating, we’ll keep giving them a place to be heard and no one has to get hurt.
